Thailand’s Cannabis Laws Are Changing: What It Means for You
The Thai government has announced updates to cannabis regulations. These changes focus on ensuring cannabis is used safely and responsibly for medical purposes only.
At High Society Thailand, we are already preparing to align fully with the new framework. Our goal remains the same: to give you a premium, safe, and comfortable experience every time you visit us.
What’s Changing?
Cannabis flowers are now classified as controlled herbs.
Dispensaries will transition to medical clinics and require licensed medical staff on site.
Purchases will be limited to those with a Cannabis Prescription (DTAM ภ.ก.33)
Shops operating without proper licensing could face penalties.
These measures aim to prevent misuse and support cannabis as part of Thailand’s health and wellness system.
Official DTAM ภ.ท.33 medical prescription form, now required for cannabis purchases in Thailand.

Getting a prescription is simple and fast.
It may take around 15-30 minutes, depending on clinic. Speak with a licensed doctor. If you have symptoms, access is legal and easy. If you need help getting a prescription, text us and we are here to help.
